12th May – we had a visit from a little girl (Isabella ) today, who came to see the box of goods that her £50 raised by selling her toys . She’s a
lready inspired some others to do the same , so good work Isabella!
We heard there had been a fire at a house down the road from the warehouse so we had the family come over and sorted them with some stuff people had donated including mattresses, food and pillows and stuff.
Being able to react quickly and also help locally is important to us and we hope it helped them get back on their feet in some small way xx
A supplier in Manchester gave us a great deal on some food pallets of rice, tomatoes and chickpeas for the container. Thanks to everyone who donated. xx
Our two pallets of aid for Chios of summer clothes left just before the container on 14th May. Arrived safely to Chios for distribution at the camps x
14th May from Wrexham warehouse the container was loaded and sent on its way from the North West and North Wales solidarity of groups (SHARE, Merseyaid, Pobl I Bobl Refugee Relief Ynys Mon) x Loaded with medical aid, food, hygiene items, and stuff like prams, loads of toys and mattresses and loads more besides
Wow what a morning. £400 from Carrying Aid International for the Chios Kitchen, $500 (USD) from Curio Spice co, who raised this money through the sales of one of their special salts (Aegean salt, made with Chios mastic.) All now sent over to the wholesalers on Chios for Refugee Kitchen to buy ingredients to feed 1600 people a day.
